I'm halfway through a book "This Is Your Brain On Music" and read
about synesthesia and its ability/condition. It is absolutely
amazing. for some it is a daily curse and other's a charished gift.
Although I don't have this, when I read Braille I see the print word
in black on a white background in my mind almost like a teleprompter.
I suspect it is just because of my being sighted and then learning
Braile later in life with vision loss and my head working it out as
anyone might. Do you find your synesthesia bothersome, neutral, or is
it useful somehow? There are those with music that can tell what key
a piece is in by the color it gives them. Key of G might be blue, Key
of C Orange, etc. and the medical field tried to fool these folks to
proove or disprove their claims and those with synesthesia are right
100% of the time and find it very useful for their music. I'm not
sure how word color could help in writing but I'm curious of your
thoughts on it.
