Judith,

My mom is a grammar school teacher, and she says that children should
not watch movies and television until after reaching a certain
developmental stage because it interferes with their imaginiation and
brain process. This is especially true for films based on books.
Instead of allowing kids to construct their own world, visual media
forces images into their minds. Kids begin to develop a co-dependency
of sorts because of this. Very interesting.
