Hi Jacky,
I wanted to purposely progress inward toward the soul. Does that make sense?

Thanks.

Jim

Jim,
You are really on a roll with these cinquains. You have the form down pat.
I do like this one. The "to" at the end of the fourth line bothers me a
little. If you put fingertips at the front of the line would not need the
"to." You could still use your semi-colon, or an em-dash.
Any comment I might make is simply a personal preference, not especially
indicative of a better way. It is yours, and you can be proud of your
Cinquains so far.
I love the idea that you are keep your daily journey in poetic forms.
Jackie

Hi,
In keeping with my self-imposed goal of making a short poem a day for a
while, here goes.

The Piano

Inert,
Innocent, mute,
it yearns to channel heart,
fingers, body, spirit, soul; to
make hole.
