[stylist] Removing text boxes from a Word 2010 document while preserving the text in them

Hi,
According to word help, I see this. To delete a text box but save the text inside it, select the text inside the text box, and then press CTRL+C to copy the text onto the clipboard before
you delete the text box.

When you delete a text box, does the text also disappear?

I have already tried saving it as ASCII and RTF without success. I then
tried opening the file with edsharp but edsharp jammed.
