[stylist] Amazing poem

But the beauty of poetry is that it can take on an interpretation
specific to the reader. Sort of like abstract art- words and images can
mean different things to different people. My mom, who is a devout
Catholic, actually introduced me to this poet, and while his personal
believes are contrary to hers, she appreciates the poem and how it can
relate to her beliefs. Regardless of how you view a poem like this
through the lens of individual beliefs, it speaks to the power of love,
and how in the end, love is all we have. Does not the Bible say to love
one another as we wish to be loved? And that of hope faith and love,
love is the most important? Even though certain beliefs may conflict on
the name of a deity, most people have this belief in common- that to
love another more than yourself is one of the greatest goals to work
towards in this world. This may all sound trite and cheesey, but it's
not about the warm-fuzzy feelings and dreamy eyes and puppy-love; true
love happens when life seems hopeless, when the weight of the world
seems ready to break you, when all you want to do is run away from it
all. People weren't created to be solitary creatures. Eve was created
for Adam because love is what made the world blossom. So a poem like
this speaks to all this, and it has nothing to do with dogmas or the
contradicting doctrines of religions that share more in common than we
all realize.

Ah, that's why I found it bizarre because it goes against my Christian 
beliefs.  Without that part about what's holy, I was with him.  The
imagery 
was beautiful.
