I have some tutorials on how to use JAWS with some basic features of
Microsoft Word 2002 and 2003. I don't know how these tutorials will reflect
any changes made to Microsoft Word in version 2007 and 2010, but I have
found some of the hot keys and keystrokes are still the same. There is a
way to do Track Changes with JAWS, and I would be happy to email the
tutorial specifically dealing with Track Changes. Here's an excerpt:

Topic: Using Track Changes
Introduction. Use the Track Changes tool if you or your reviewers would
like to make changes directly to the document's content. When the Track
Changes tool is active, Word will mark all changes made in the document.
Later, you or your co-worker can review and accept or reject the changes.

About Tracking Changes. You must turn on the Track Changes feature to have
your edits noted in the document as you make them. You can turn this feature
on by choosing the Track Changes command on the Tools menu or by pressing
Ctrl-Shift-E.

Word uses several methods to track the edits you make. When you delete text,
the text remains in the document. However, it appears red with a
strikethrough mark through the text. Text you add appears red and
underlined. A vertical line will appear in the left margin to indicate the
line or paragraph has an edit in it.

Detect Revisions. You can use JFW's verbosity settings to detect revisions
in a document. You have several options about the amount and type of
revision information that JFW will provide. Below are the options available:

Speak Type
Speak Type and Count
Speak Type and Author
Speak Type and Author + Count
Speak Type, Author, and Date
Speak Type, Author, Date + Count

Document View Settings. The current view setting effects how the edits are
displayed in the document. In Web Layout and Print Layout view, the edits
appear in "balloons" in the margins with a dotted line connecting the edit
balloon with the edited text. In Normal and Outline view, the edits only
appear in the Reviewing pane. For best results, you should work in Normal
view.

Exercise Objectives. In the following six exercises, you will use Word's
Track Changes feature to edit a document, review suggested edits, accept an
edit, and reject an edit.

Exercise: Turning On JFW's Detect Revisions Feature
Complete the following four steps to open the Adjust JAWS Verbosity dialog
box and direct JFW to detect revisions.

Step 1: Press Insert-V to open the Adjust JAWS Verbosity dialog box. JFW
announces, "Adjust JAWS Verbosity Dialog AutoCorrect - Off."
Step 2: Press the Down Arrow key until JFW announces, "Track Changes -
Off."
Step 3: Press the Spacebar until JFW announces, "Speak Type + Count."
Step 4: Press Alt-C to activate the Close button.

The Adjust JAWS Verbosity dialog box closes, and the focus returns to the
Word program. JFW announces, "Application Settings Saved Blank."

There's a lot more to it than just working with that, and the tutorials come
with sample documents to practice with.
