Hi Amy,
I went through the process of creating a Wordpress blog yesterday. Signing up was very easy. It's also an easy process to write a post. My copy of JAWS worked well with it. The browser I was using was Firefox. I will probably use this blog as a way to practice writing. I found out that it's possible to keep blogs private. The reason I did it this way is that I've had too many computer crashes at work and home and lost my journal. Thankfully, it was at the beginning of my writing experiment and only had a few entries in it. As I learn more about Wordpress features, I will report if people want to hear about it.
One thing I have already found out is that if you go to http://www.wordpress.org, where they have the software that you can download and put on your own site, the documentation is better. They don't give you the ability to install whatever plug-ins you want to install over at http://www.wordpress.com, though.
Thanks.
Jim

Thanks James, JC, Daniel, and anyone else I might have missed, forr all your blog advice. Yes, JC, I would like to read some of your blog posts, if you would send them off list. I think I might give Wordpress a shot. When and if I successfully post something, I'll let you all know. I told myself that I would never blog (I wanted the time to work on novels, short stories, and the like) but I realize how often I find myself reading other writers' blogs and have decided it might really be a great promotional tool for my already-published books. I believe that it will be worth the time and effort, if the blog posts help draw attention to my books and to me as an author. Thanks, List...I always know I can count on you guys:)
Amy
