[stylist] writing magazines

Hi,
Atlantic monthly is published by NLS so its accessible. But I thought that 
was more hard news. While I like news, I'd like something culture based or 
personal reflections. You say it has book reviews though; maybe I'll try it. 
I'd like to read book reviews and play reviews.

Yes we do have a radio reading service called Washington Ear. Thanks for 
your ideas.

I get many magazines. Reader's Digest is one of them. It is interesting
listening, but what I would call light writing, and not literary.
The Atlantic Monthly has excellent articles and a high quality of writing.
It has all kinds including a few poems, and book reviews.
If you have  the radio service  like we get in the Phoenix area, you can
listen to 240 publications and pick almost anything that suits your fancy.
Ours is call SunSounds. I believe there is a national one, but I do not know
the name or how to find it.

Hi all,

I'd like to read more personal essays and creative nonfiction to get a sense
of the structure as well as to learn about people's lives.
Such personal accounts are quite interesting.
So are there magazines you can recommend? I plan to subscribe to the Writer
from  NLS. I don't know if they have anymore writing magazines.

I think reading some literary magazines would be  beneficial. Someday, I'd
like to submit work to them as well. I can read braille. But other
accessible formats will work as well. I am thinking of subscribing to
Readers digest as well. Aph produces it.
