Aw, that's such a simple poem and yet it says so much more than many do.
It's very sweet.

I wrote this poem in 2000. I was sifting through poems today, putting things
in order and updating my folders. (Isn't that what we spend an enormous
amount of our time doing? Sorting, shifting, saving)

I am sending this one along because it reflects the love that we experince
in the spring time, if we have been very fortunate.

This poem was a performance poem for the jazz singer, Betty Douglas. She was
giving a concert at the Merrick Art Gallery and Museum, New Brighton, PA
that year and had requested I write a love poem that she could perform
during the concert. I wrote it to my husband. He was in the performance that
night, but had no idea this was coming during the program, and he had not
hard it before that night.

Easter, to me, is about eternal love. The love of God for humanity, when He
poured out everlasting love for all time. It was a question of love.
