[stylist] Christmas Wishes for you

So sorry I missed this, Jackie! Thank you. I write something each year that
will be printed in my cards.

I have not been checking the list much due to the holidays and my own work
projects. Here is what I have been up to for the past couple of weeks:

I have written a proposal for an art exhibition I would like to do with
another blind artist in a museum. Our proposed show will focus on "Vision:
Seeing and Visualization." We will explore the meaning of "seeing" in our
work for this show, to give people more insight into our world and to
challenge what it is "to see."

She is a painter; me, a pottery and fiber artist. We propose the show, as
well as an educational component that would show visitors to the museum how
blind people make ART. We want to spend a day actually working on our art,
in the museum, and it will be open to the public to come an interact and
learn how we do it. I can just SEE this show and I have been so focused on
bringing it to life in a museum and perhaps a gallery or two, as well. We
will also involve a "low vision" specialist from a Pittsburgh hospital in
our project, as well as our local Association for the Blind organizations.

We will know more after January when the art committee convenes to review
our proposal - but the gallery director sent me a not right away after she
received the package, so that is a good sign. When I lived in California, I
was a "grants specialist" for two colleges in the bay area and this
experience has been invaluable to me in pursuing creative projects since
then.
