Self-publishing was recommended by two of our recent and most interesting
guests for our monthly gatherings. I speak of Jason Yarn, literary agent for
a well-known New York talent agency; from our Division's website listen to
the MP3 of that interview, #13. (He says it is one way to establish
credibility; you have to have a track record of success before a talent
agency will take you seriously). And also, the encouragement comes from
guest #17, David Wolverton -Farland. He is an award winning SF and Fantasy

knows several people who got their start by self-publishing.)
