[stylist] A copy of my accessibility article

Ashley,
Thanks, it certainly is a temptation. Dialog would pay more than I get now,
but I still have that pesky notion of getting things out there where people
who don't have a specific interest in blindness issues might come across
them. I have always bristled at the lack of general audience exposure that
our issues get, and I view this "separate but not equal" world as sorely
needing to know what's going on. After all, most blind people start out as
sighted, so the general public is full of the not-yet-blind and their
friends, loved ones and communities. It's changing the prejudices that they
hold that will enable the future-blind to achieve and expect more after they
become blind. That's not going to happen with Dialog or AFB, but still, it
would be nice to get paid, so I'm chewing on these ideas. I suppose a
compromise is in order -- keep writing for general sites, but occasionally
submit something to Dialog as well.
Donna

Donna,
Sounds like you should fine another venue for your articles; Dialogue would
love something like this, but they don't pay much; about $25 an article; a
little less or more I think depending on the article; it publishes four
times a year. Hmm, maybe you could contribute to the AFB blog or something
and be paid.

Chris,
Yes, it will reduce my paycheck, but bear in mind that over the past two
years I have written 54 articles for this site, and my total earnings as of
a few days ago was $38 and change (no, I didn't miss any zeros; its really
supposed to say thirty-eight).

Donna,

Don't you get paid per visit, though? In other words, won't this reduce your

paycheck?
