I think Knitting is much easier - but I have been doing both since a small 
child, so I might not be the best judge of that. I think you will enjoy it. 
You can learn how by bing on the Krafters-Korner list. I can teach you in 
person as well, if that is possible. Best wishes on the new niece. How 
wonderful.
