It is very simplistic but it does get the point across. If it had a tune to
it, I think I'd grately like that song.

This is what I didn't have time to flush out
yesterday, very simplistic poem so I apologize
for those advanced appreciaters of real poetry
lol. . I'm a songwriter, not a poet :) but it is what was on my mind.

Cry Baby Cry

I was brand new
While he was just three
Burbling in my crib,
Still haven’t teethed
A sibling rival
Yet infant ally
He’d take away my bottle
And it’s cry baby cry

I was eleven
He was fourteen
I mouthed off
We made a scene
Tussle and punch
He dimmed my lights
Him standing over
And it’s cry baby cry

Still all through school
Behind the scenes
Big bro the protector
No one messed with me
I knew if they did
There’d be a black eye
Him standing over
And it’s Cry baby cry

Me thirty-five
Him thirty-eight
Some call it tragic
Some call it fate
Lying there breathless
It just don’t’ seem right
Me standing over
And it’s cry baby cry

Sometimes there's guilt
Cruising the years
Daily agendas
Abandoned tears
But just like today
I still have my times
I’ll sit and remember
And it’s cry baby cry
I’ll always remember,
And it’s cry baby cry
