[stylist] new writing assignment?

Chris,
I saved this to answer Frown.. I guess it gave me a guilt complex. I have
expiated that guilt by taking all the time I planned to enter poems in the
NFSPS Annual Contest. Instead you have had an active participant. Are you
ready to give in and ask me to back down?
Truly, the word apathetic can never be applied to this group even when in a
more quiescent period.
I can only start to list the steady ones who among all the others give so
generously of their time that it is hard to believe. Brad, with his words,
humorous and affirming comments, Donna with her huge concern for the
fledglings, and the rest of us with expertise in so many fields of writing,
Bridgitte, continually pressed for time, still takes time to help all of us
with wide and disparate subjects, Our new member, Linda, with her extensive
background in the arts of all kinds, and her terrific feedback, Robert, of
course, as the wise man who calms us all and makes each of our voices sound
worthwhile, Vikas (Reach Now) who has helped me considerably, Vegas, our
young gifted enthusiastic donator of words and wisdom, You, Barbara, Sheryl,
a true business woman who offers us a world of travel, etc, etc.
Who among us , being blind, and having a compunction to make it in the
sighted world, can afford to use this sight for ego-stroking, or as an
addiction.
When I see thirty-five e-mails come up every day from just this source, I
ask myself if I should be giving up my other life.
Understand, I would gladly do so, if I did not have a goal before I die. To
publish a poetry, one has to have quite a few of published poems to credit.
Don't get me wrong. I love it, and if I were not as slow as a turtle, did
not copy and make word documents of most of your material, save the rest in
your individual folders, and think so much, I could probably get through
them all in an hour or so.
As it is, I think I have three active pieces to critique yet. I think
Barbara, Myrna, and one other.
Chris, could you substitute discerning for apathetic for each one of us?
Also, please do not be angry. Just do not count any more. "Things" happen.
Jackie

Barbara,

I think your March writing prompt is fine, and I'll toss it around and see
if I come up with anything. But, this is an apathetic group, and it's not as

interesting when people don't participate. I think we had 8 people
contribute in December, 5 in January and only three in February, and even
fewer bothered to read and critique. I'm not sure how many people belong to
this list, but that's a poor response rate, no matter how you look at it.
