[stylist] more about Does anyone use MAGIC or have experience with it?

EVE and Lynda and others:
(As one work-around I sent Eve an email with "S&S" in the body of the
message)

Otherwise:
Magic is a sister program to JAWS, they are created by the same software
company, Freedom Scientific; they do work perfectly together. Magic does
have a stripped down version of JAWS in it that can be turned on or off.
First question I would have is- does the voice work in other
windows/programs during the time that the "S&S" document is up? Or, is the
voice not working anywhere?

(Tell me, what word processor are you trying to use? And does Magic work
when you are pulling up other documents?)

A second question is- (and this one would be totally urrevalant, if the
voice is working elsewhere And Eve, I don't want to insult your
intelligence, you may know this keystroke) Eve do you know the keystroke to
turn the voice on- to make sure that it is?

There again, with all of the above said, I'm thinking it is probably a
computer problem that is at the bottom of all these headaches that Eve is
experiencing.

(One possible work around is- if this is a problem because your computer is
trying to use Word or whatever your word processor is, we could send you a
text document and once you get the email, say the attachment somewhere
where you can find it, then open Notepad which is a text reader and maybe
this combo will work (that Magic's voice will not get clobbered). (Does Magi
also give you freedom cientific's FSEdit? I mentioned this one before, JAWS
another FS product has it in the program menu of JAWS to be used by the JAWS
program owner [a good word processor].)

So eve if you want to try the text option, tell me direct and I'll convert
it and send it to your email address.

Eve,
When I was at the rehab center in Pittsburgh, I had chosen Magic as the
program I wanted. Then, later my counselor did not get it for me, but
instead they got me ZoomText. They said that Magic did not work well with
JAWS. Maybe that is the problem?
