Eve, Barbara and Donna,

Thanks for reading. Like I said, I've been working on this piece for
years. It's undergone several rewrites, and at one point, the ending was
entirely different.

With this piece in particular, I have found it interesting the
interpretations readers tack to it. It's commonly been described as an
allegorical piece. There is a secret meaning I attached to it, but I
love to hear what others think, smile.

I tried to comment earlier, but alas, my computer did not want to
cooperate. I feel as if Brighid is eternally gathering firewood here.
This could only have been written by someone who wears the name of the
Goddess (close at least). It was beautiful and had a scary truth hidden
in its depths that could come to pass lest we choose to ignore. Well
