[stylist] Twitter

And even more important is to have a blogand/or website promoting
yourself and your writing, though keep in mind that anything posted on a
website is considered as publishing. If sharing material on a site such
as Stylist, this typically doesn't count because it's considered an
online writing group and not a publication, but once you start posting
material to personal websites and blogs, it's considered published.

But yes, nowadays, in order to *make it*, you need to be online, and
just more than a social network site.

I attended the Willamette Writers Conference this past weekend.  Several
workshop presenters, agents and editors said it is now important for
both fiction and non-fiction writers to have an Interne t presence.  If
any of you are on Twitter I would greatly appreciate it if you would
follow me @JulieGoldbeck.  Thanks.
