Donna, Phyllis, and Ashley

Have any of you tried the Iron Druid series (Hounded, Hexed, and Hammered
are available through NLS)? I read and loved them. You might also like the

Dragon Riders of Pern books.

Eve--I would agree that the line between science fiction and fantasy is not
cut and dried; a lot of science fiction authors treat with magical subject
matter and with spirituality. Many books I've enjoyed could be classified
either way. I do think there is a difference in tone between a science
fiction story that treats with traditional fantasy elements (for instance
dragons) and traditional fantasy.

Happy reading.

Shawn

Ashley and Phyllis,
I too am a Harry Potter fan, and I also love C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of
Narnia and his sci fi trilogy as well as Tolkien. My novel is a school
adventure story with what I've been calling "excursions into fantasy."

I'm sure I'm not the only one who will welcome you and your magical friends!

As a devoted fan of Harry Potter, I say welcome, no matter where your
writing takes you.

Phyllis
