Yes, that's the one.  I loved the Santaland diaries and you're write, his humor is dark.  For instance his musings on "Satanland", his musings on white and black santas and the way the piece ended.  Cool stuff!.

Also, I love the C. S. Louis quote that you have; thought provoking.

Yes, they're called the Santaland Diaries. He's really good at incorporating humor into his writing, and I like his particular style of humor, which tends to be a bit cynical and even dark at times.

I believe that Sedaris wrote a collection of humorous pieces about Christmas; the lead piece was about working as a department store Santa.
I found some of the articles to be an absolute hoot.
