Chris,

I just read your short piece, and it's really good. Chalk full of
emotion and passion. I like how your narrator continually rubs her
belly-- a nervous habit, for protection, for comfort-- whatever the
reason, it's a good detail. And lots of description. I like how you
unravel the story without long, extensive passages about the past and
details of the story. Good example of a "less is more" description and
backstory.
