For the Writers meeting at 1:30 on the 3, that would be 12:30 central,
correct?

elections, and planning for the future. Robert Leslie Newman, President

*Our business meeting will be broadcast via our free conference number
that we normally use for the monthly telephone meetings. The number is-
1-218-339-4300 and the access code is- 568839Pound ---
Thoughts/information about this phone hookup- I will be using my iPhone,
we've done this the past two years, and it works pretty good. Granted,
it depends upon the rooms acoustics. I will have it tethered via
Bluetooth to a speaker system that I will bring for this purpose. As we
proceed, I will check with you-all on the phone to see how it is working
for you. Some of our guest speakers will come into the meeting via this
phone hookup. Bridgit Pollpeter, our editor of "Slate & Style" will
present her; Donna Hill will and Myrna Badgerow will speak during our
Self-Publishing presentation, along with Jerry Whittle, who will be
there in the room. Also, during elections, if someone on the call is
running for a position, they can address the rest of us in the room.
Notes
--- First, for you on the phone, be in a quiet place so that noise from
your environment does not mess-up the sound for everyone else, and if
that is not possible, use the mute feature, Star6 to mute and the same
to unmute. Second, at this point I do not know if the room will have a
sound system that we can use; we will do our best to accommodate either
circumstance. Third, hey --- I hope the iPhone will get a good signal,
and if not --- well, guess the result will feel too much like receiving
a rejection letter, HUH --- it is just not going to happen. Fourth, one
last note, I will be recording the meeting via my Victor Stream; results
will again depend upon the auditory characteristics of the meeting.
