That's the cool thing about the books; as you read, what can initially
seem like insignificant information eventually becomes essential to the
plot. Or you read something and it's like, "Oh, that's what that was all
about," grin. Especially at the conclusion. After the sixth book, I
didn't think Rowling would be able to successfully wrap everything up in
one final book, but she did, and it has a very satisfying ending.

And my husband and I were the few dorky adults who waited in line at
midnight when the final book was released, and we read it in four days
doing nothing but stopping to eat, LOL!

I was a teen when the books first came out but didn't start reading them
until I was 24. I love fantasy but am not big into pop-culture
phenomena's. I wasn't ready to jump on the band-wagon quite yet. I like
to give this stuff time to cool down. I was hooked though once I started
and am now a huge fan who recommends the books to everyone.

The only book I don't enjoy as much as the others is book two, Chamber
of Secrets, though you learn a lot of information in this book that
eventually becomes important.

The films have been a bit disappointing, but most fans of the books make
this statement. Those who have not read the books love the films. It's
all about point of view, I guess. For what a film can do with an
adaptation though, most the films do okay especially the final one, The
Deathly Hallows.

Eve, we seem to be the Potter-philes on the list, grin.

Justin, I am taking it that you have never experienced Harry Potter. I
will warn you then. I almost did not get into them because, as with many
books, they start out simple and gain momentum. At first look I thought
they were juvenile. If I went with my first impression, I would have
missed so much. Once you get into it though, you see the evolution of
the story and start making connections between the early books and the
later books that are genius.. Work through it and enjoy. Blessed Be. Eve
