Barbara,
This is one terrific poem. Doubling the form doubled its effectiveness and added so much to the theme.
I also notice that your form poetry comes throughtrue to its form and line length.
Wonderful.

Subject: [stylist] a double triolet?

I’ve not seen much here lately so thought I’d contribute my attempt at a triolet.
Actually, it’s a double triolet?

If I could have just one more chance
To be the child I was of yore,
I would choose a different dance
If I could have just one more chance.
I'd face life with a different stance,
I'd grasp the knob of another door,
If I could have just one more chance,
To be the child I was of yore.

To be the child I was of yore,
If I could have just one more chance,
I'd love to walk back through that door
To be the child I was of yore.
I'd love to live that time once more,
But approach it with a different stance.
To be the child I was of yore.
If I could have just one more chance.
