As I sit here in Iowa listening to the RAIN, this poem brings tears to my eyes because there is NOTHING as special as a Christmas snow. And, I can't tell you how I make the leap but when you speak of the fife and drum and bagpipes calling you to fight, I feel the pull of the mission to destroy the ring pulling me to leave Rivendell. It's a beautiful poem, Shawn.
