Hi Friends,
I recently wrote to the National Braille Press about having my new novel,
which features a 14-year-old legally blind heroine, published in Braille.
It's not their mission to Braille Young Adult novels, but here's a quote
from the e-mail I got back.

I took the liberty of sending it to a contact I have at NLS, and she
forwarded it to their "collections department." If they are interested, they
will be in touch. I hope they respond; it's important for blind kids to see
themselves in books about life and its many adventures.
My best, Diane

If any of you agree, please contact NLS and request The Heart of Applebutter
Hill by Donna W. Hill. It's been recommended by professionals in the fields
of education, rehabilitation and the arts as a classroom resource for
diversity-inclusivity and anti-bullying initiatives for middle school and
older readers.
Thanks,
Donna
