Hi Bill,

Another interesting poem. Although I can't say I 'get it', it does have
great imagery, and I like thinking about the Indians, of new, remote, lunar
places, and I've always had a fondness for poor Laika, although I hate how
JAWS doesn't pronounce her name correctly. At least, mine doesn't. When I
was a kid, I often dreamed of what it must have been like for her, scared
and alone, drifting up there above all of us. If I were a poet, I might try
to capture that.

And by the way, slam poetry is still alive and well, although probably not
as popular as it once was. We went to a local competition about a year ago,
and while it was mostly high school kids, some of them were very good. Check
out a guy named Taylor Mali on youtube when you have some time.
