[stylist] Jaws Question

Hi Ann,
There are so many different kinds of red, that I think that you should try to change the sound scheme to look for colors, and then, if you are interested in the skim reading solution, just write back, and I can tell you how to skim for the exact color you are looking for, unless you want to dig around in help files.

1. Open the document in question.
2. Press CTRL+INSERT+S, for the Schemes dialog. Make sure that you take note of what it is set on, so you can change it back.
3. Arrow down or press the letter C until you hear it say colors.
4. Press ENTER to close the dialog.
5. Start to read the document.

You should now hear colors when they change.

Remember to change it back when you are done.

If you would want to take a shot at making JAWS tell you all the places where it sees the color red and you want to skim for it, you could try to press INSERT+CTRL+SHIFT+DOWNARROW and, having remembered the color, set up that dialog to skim for it when you press the button in that dialog. There is also a great DAISY book all about skim reading in the JAWS training you can check out.

Thanks.

Jim

Subject: [stylist] Jaws Question

Someone did some edits on my book. I had asked her to put ** around them but she did not. Is there a way I can ask JAWS to search for text in red? Thanks.
