Vejas,
I would suggest our own Phyllis Campbell's "Friendships in the Dark" which I
am currently reading from NLS. It's way beyond not disturbing; it truly
shows the best of family, community and a blind person. It's beautifully
written, but I can't find it on Bookshare; in fact, they don't have any of
her books as far as I can tell.

Subject: [stylist] memoirs
Hi all,
I have to read a biography, autobiography or memoir for English class. I
have really enjoyed memoirs in the past and would like to stick to go
genera.
I would really like some suggesttions on some good memoirs to read,
preferably one that is not too disturbing. Also could you tell me whether
or not it is available on Bookshare?
Thank you in advance for your ideas.
Vejas
