Hi,
Well, I don't think I've actually cried but I recognize that impulse.
The way I write my characters has a lot to do with compassion; in order
to get the emotional truth out of my characters and their situations I
employ a kind of compassion. Almost always, this leads me to a
satisfying sense of who these people are and what they're going to do next.
