Bridgit, I'm sorry that you didn't and don't have a close 
relationship with your mom.  My mom and I had some rough times, 
and I can't stay in her house longer than two weeks, but 
nevertheless we love each other and are close.  My dad and I had 
a very rocky relationship.  Toward the end of his life, we were 
just beginning to get closer.  But we never did have a great 
father daughter relationship.    Debby
