[stylist] 1. book publication (Sarah)

Good morning Sarah,

I usually work with Create Space on its own site, not through Draft2Digital. It usually takes 24 to 48 hours. Also, Draft2Digital sent the guidelines about holiday publishing deadlines a few weeks ago. Some places, and likely including Create Space are pretty much shut down until after the New Year. I'd say, expect two weeks at this point. Normally, it would be two to three days.

Bookshare does not pay. I do provide my books through them though.

To address Brigid's comment, yes some brick and mortar self-publishing companies do provide print books. Most often through Create Space, or similar. Draft2Digital, Smashwords, and Amazon only provide through CreateSpace. There are a few other options, don't worry about them right now. Create Space books are generally listed on Amazon. not sure if they are through Draft2Digital's program though. Will be interesting to find out.

      Congratulations! Have a great day!

One of the options I selected is Create Space. Does it take time for the book to be available on that website? Some of my family and friends would like a paperback version of the book. Will I receive payment if I upload the book to Bookshare? Thank you.
