[stylist] Helen, all, it's all your fault, Of Microbes and Men

Jackie,

LOL, you sound like me. I go over my own work with a fine tooth comb,
sometimes to the point of ridiculousness, grin. I've gone back and revised
and edited material that's been published too. Perfectionism? Smile

Chris, and all who commented on my poem, I love it that I made you laugh.
I did make at least five errors, in end rhymes (matching plurals, and in end
marks matching with following capitals.
I say this because I mention little things to other writers in my critiques,
knowing that these little things can keep a piece from being published, and
I think we all have meaningful things to say.
For that reason, I encourage all to be brutal in their critiques, in between
the good strokes. I depend on it, particularly since I cannot see the print,
and my hearing is also very defective.
This is said, even knowing the time limitations of reading a piece using
JAWS to find each little error.
So I guess, going back to your remarks, I love it that this piece of
nonsense really appealed to not just poets, but so many others. It
encouraged me to go back over it, letter by letter, and find what at first I
could not determine what bothered me about it.

Hi Jackie,

This was hilarious--thanks so much for the morning smile.
