[stylist] question about terminology

Just a funny note here; this was the subject of a Jeopardy question last
week and so I could say with a tiny bit of knowledge that the reason of the
different spellings is because when Webster was making the first dictionary
in the U.S. he did not like the way the Brits spelled things so he changed
them. Wow, I said that all in one sentence. What a run on. I guess the main
moral of the story here is that if you want to spell things with a bit of
flare, go ahead, but be sure to punctuate and not follow my lead with
sentence length. ;) Eve
