Shawn gave me a nudge after he shared his triplet. I have written a few but this is my favorite.  

A Poet's Blood

A poet's blood rushes through veins
Its ink flows freely... pen to page
Weaving words in poetic seines
A poet's blood rushes through veins
Pages yellow, essence remains
With words unobservant of age
