Hi Writers,
I will just tack this on the your discussion with Jacqueline because I
wanted to let you all know about a forthcoming article featuring Jackie.
As most of you know I write two blogs. For my blog,"Walking by Inner
Vision," Jackie will be the FIRST GUEST writer featured. Her story and 2
poems will appear in this week's post, scheduled for publication on July
31st.
It is an honor to feature Jackie and her work. I put several photos of her
state, Arizona, up with her story. You can find it after 8 am on the 31st
at:
www.lyndalambert.com - that link will open up right on the current page.
In addition, I want to say Thank You to all the folks who have worked so
hard at Slate and Style Literary Magazine - what a nice job you have done!
Lynda

Shawn,
I am very grateful.
I truly appreciate Sem's and Bridgit's comments. I basically agree. In fact,
I have a PayPal account which gave me great trouble. The first five tries,
they could not find my account. I hired my aide again who had the same
result. Upon trying to open a new account, they said I already had an
account.
My hearing of many words and numbers is seriously impaired, and I find
trying to insure accuracy in both as a problem. An extra 0, or a decimal
point could have serious problems.
Incidentally, that is why I do not get involved with the monthly telephone
gatherings. I am terribly fortunate to understand my JAWS better than most
other voices.
I have the big checks with raised lines, can manage them alone, and also
often wait for someone to check them for accuracy. So I try to move up with
the new ways, but for me, it is often counter-productive.
For instance, Where I get my hair cut and permed, they only accept cash or
checks. I accept only cash, for the rent of a small unit, because of being
badly burned in the past. I no longer shop for anything on the internet in
spite of the so-called fabulous buys. I have some trouble traversing many
sites.
If you think I am regressed, my son is worse. Because three years ago when I
was scammed badly by a so-called "Medic Alert" company, who used the number
off of my three-year-old check to them to make an unauthorized charge for
three more years. He makes trips to the bank to write Cashiers Checks for
all of his bills. The rest is cash. Incidentally, it took me two years of
contacts and efforts, but the Instant Response company is finally out of
business.
I must admit to an over-reaction to the news of the many breaches of
security for many Arizona entities, including the community college network
where I took courses, and Target, and on and on.
For me, Shawn, you have made a humane decision. I hope this will not cause
you to have to dedicate much extra time.

Eva,
Some of us cannot attend convention. Some of us will not use PayPal or our
credit cards on the web.
I have always been able to pay both my membership fee and contest entry fees
by check to Robert.
Will you make this option available again from now on?
