Jackie and All, I wanted to be sure to comment on this poem. I did not
wholely understand the explained process, but that mattered little. The
finished product that you shared was so deeply beautiful. It could be felt
from within as a solid truth.
I hear the music and want to dance, but the knees and the balance do not
cooperate the way they did in my past, and the way they still do in my
mind. Thank you for this glimpse into reality. It makes many of us feel
less alone as we experiencce our own erasures of ability and senses.
And a quick note to those who have not yet experienced any of this... Great
age is not needed to do so. Erasures start in what some of us consider
youth, or at least middle age. It depends on your style of living and your
own experiences, so take heart in the renewal that comes from the losses.
Again to Jackie, thank you for sharing.
