[stylist] software and computer suggestions for writing

   Good morning. I currently use my Braille Sense U2 to write the first draft of books. I like the portability of the device but might need to send it to Hims for repair. I would like to continue writing while the device is being repaired. I bought Scrivener to use with my MacBook Pro but am not sure it will work for what I need to do. I would appreciate any suggestions for a portable device. I would prefer to write the files in Word since it is the word poocessor I prefer using. Thank you.
