Willow is a type of tree. Is "spill" spelled correctly? Not sure what that
means. Try Googling.

Subject: [stylist] question about specific words in original Rudolph poem

Hello all,

Does anyone know what "willows" and "spills" mean? These words appear to be
from the late 19th to early 20th century.

The reindeer were playing . . . . enjoying the spills

Of skating and coasting, and climbing the willows . . . .

And hop-scotch and leap-frog (protected by pillows!)
