[stylist] stylist Digest, Vol 141, Issue 20

Hello Bridget,

Thanks for confirming that "willow" is a tree. I thought "enjoying the
spills" could be enjoying the falls or enjoying the gossip.

Thank you,

Jennifer A.

Willow is a type of tree. Is "spill" spelled correctly? Not sure what that
means. Try Googling.

Hello all,

Does anyone know what "willows" and "spills" mean? These words appear to be
from the late 19th to early 20th century.

The reindeer were playing . . . . enjoying the spills

Of skating and coasting, and climbing the willows . . . .

And hop-scotch and leap-frog (protected by pillows!)

I knew it meant that too, but didn't get that definition from this context.
Thanks. See it now.
