Good afternoon everyone,Good afternoon everyone,
We wouldn't go near Computers for the Blind with a 10-foot pole.
It's true that they sell cheap computers but they've misrepresented the
age of their equipment to blind individuals we know. Just last Friday we
talked to someone who got one of their laptop computers and was told
that the unit was a year old. A service technician performed some
maintenance on her machine and told her that in actuality it was six
years old and some of the components were no longer available.
This company does not provide onsite setup and tech support of any
kind and does not offer any type of maintenance services. We know other
blind people that have had issues with Computers to not Help People and
we strongly urge those wanting computers to buy them elseware from more
reputable sources. It's another case of "You get what you pay for."
