[stylist] Anthologies

Hi,
Hope you guys all had a great Thanksgiving break.
I have written many short stories, and plan to write more of them 
in the very near future.  I know that sometimes people will 
create an anthology with their short stories.
Does anyone know what is necessary to make an anthology unique? 
Should all the stories in the anthology have one main theme or 
idea? I know there has to be something unique about an anthology 
in order for it to be published.
