Hi Jackie,
Thanks for the comments.
Warping the loom is the linen or other material that runs vertical.
Weft, is the yarn that is woven horizontally over and under the warp
strands.
My senior show, when I did my BFA degree, consisted of paintings and woven
tapestries.
Weaving is so magical - but, I sold my large floor loom after I lost my
sight because I needed that room for my office and adaptive equipment.
I especially love clothing that is hand woven.
I've been writing a lot of small poems lately. Little tapestries.
Lynda

Hi Linda,
I had heard of the warp and woof, but not of the weft. I always learn
something from your poetry.
I love the simplicity of the form.
It is still warm here in AZ. We have had one cold night here in Mesa. I
sometimes miss the snow.

Dear NFB Writers,

I am sending out my Season's Greetings to each of you. I hope your holidays
are particularly beautiful this year and into the new year. Can you believe,
it is nearly 2018!

If you live in an area that is in the deep freeze right now, you will surely
appreciate this poem.

The poem was just published in Plum Tree Tavern, and this little
nature-themed literary magazine is one I like so much. I will post the link
for you to find my poem. You may enjoy many other literary works in this
magazine, too.

Here is the link to my poem, Winter Scene #1.

Here is the pasted copy of my American Tanka, which was just published in
the magazine:
