Notice of Writers' Division Gathering on February 26
Greetings from your Writers' Division gathering hostess and the cats Pearl
and Brandy! You know they approve all our Writers' Division presentation.
They really like the February one and I know you will, too. Again, my
apologies for not joining the call in January but it seemed that technical
difficulties plagued my phone. I had to learn how to reset it. It sounds,
however, like you had a good call. The idea of these once a month
gatherings is to share our projects and learn something new.
Join us on Sunday February 26 for a presentation on Writing Our Intension
given by Lynda Lambert. Many of you know her from past interactions from
the list.
Lynda says: Let's call the presentation "Writing with Intention."
I'll speak about how to become more intentional in our writing life and
ways to get our work accomplished and out to editors and publishers as well
as some personal ways of changing our thoughts to maximize our efforts.
My background information:
Professor of Fine Arts & Humanities, Geneva College, Beaver Falls,
Pennsylvania
I live and work at my writing in a small village in western Pennsylvania.
I retired from my college teaching position in 2008 , which opened the door
for me to work full-time at writing.
My degrees are:
BFA in painting in 1989 from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania
MFA in painting in 1991 from West Virginia University
MA in English in 1994 from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania

Author of: Walking by Inner Vision: Stories & Poems, to be published very
soon - finishing up the final editing right now.
Book Projects currently in development:
Appalachian Alchemy, 52 new poems, target publication date, in late 2017
Eclipse, full length book of poetry, target for publication in 2018
At 73, a one-year memoir/journal of my 73rd year. Target publication
date, 2018.
Currently:
Retired from teaching.
Full-time writing: poems and creative non-fiction essays

Board member of Behind Our Eyes, Inc.

Walking my 2 dogs numerous times every day, in the woods on the ridge
overlooking the Connoquenessing Creek.
Take care of my husband of 56 years after a 3-year battle with acute
myeloid leukemia.
I live in the small rural village where my ancestors settled in the
mid-1700s.
I know we are in for a wonderful presentation. If you don't normally join
us, plan to do so. If you always join us, this will be an unforgettable
presentation. Indeed we have some wonderful presentations lined up for the
next four gatherings starting with this one.
The phone number to call on Feburary 26 is (712)432-0460. The access code
