[stylist] Helpful reading and editing tip in Word

Good afternoon, list.  

 

I found a pair of key stroke combinations in Word that might be helpful for
us to remember.  

 

Control-Windows-k will set a place marker at the current location in an open
document and alt-Windows-k will return to that marker.  The set marker
command when used again will move the place marker to the new location where
you are located.  

 

When the document is closed or even when Word or the computer are closed the
marker is retained for the next time that document is open.  This makes it
very helpful when reading or editing something that opens in Word.  

 

When I first tried out the return to place marker command Jaws announced
there were no place markers for the document.  Jaws announces whether you
are setting or returning to a place marker when you do the appropriate key
stroke.
