Hi Phyllis and Others,

Network with others. I think Lynda's latest post touches on this
quite well. Us submitting to other publications is networking with
others.
Us talking with each other is enetworking with others.
Us participating on other writing forums or courses is networking with
others, and so on.
Getting your work yourself beyond yourself and into someone else's
world is networking with others and vice versa.

It's done not to promote you or promote them but kind of a natural
exchange and the funny thing is promoting each other might just
happen. Someone will say, I talked with this person named Phyllis and
...

Or, you might say, I heard from this person named ... and they ...

Just put yourself in places where you want others to notice you and
where you have something to notice.

I've mentioned the Internet Writing Workshop and that it has genre
lists one can join. Consider Googling that and joining something to
improve your writing and help someone improve their writing.

Google writer Sally Clark who puts out a daily email announcing
opportunities for writers: some poetry, some anthologies, some
contests, eventually one will fit you.

You posted here. You're on the way Phyllis!
