To all,
Reading this post from David gave me an "Ahh-Ha" moment. I think this
conversation we are having is a key to reviving and re-envisioning our
group. Sharing what we know and encouraging each other to move on to our
best writing will be the glue that strengthens all of us. EACH member of
the group has so much to share.
David, thank you for the links you just gave us.
I'll be checking them out, for myself. I'm a life long learner and plan to
remain a student forever.
Lynda

Hello Writers,

I am glad this topic is still struggling for life and has the interest
of Tessa and Phyllis.

My editor introduced me to the online website and writing of
writer/marketer Nicholas Rossis. I'll do the same and not beat around
the bush.
I started with his article
"I Just Published My Book Now What"
The gist is: Build a platform, if you publish on Amazon decide what
genres your book will fit and put them there not just one genre,
(example nonfiction and subcategories for nonfiction),
give aways for ... days,
online media ads announcing a sale. Long-term not worth it according
to the math. Finally, network with others for support. Those are his
"now whats."

These are about moving the book, your work, your effort, your writing,
maybe your living, not you per se.
One of his website addresses is
http://nicholasrossis.me/guides/

I think he is a Wordpress Blogger so one can sign up or just read away
at past posts and take copious notes. Then, put into action!
That along with our member Lynda Lambert gave me the gentle nudge
necessary to keep me going. Think about it and then get to work; I
have since this past Tuesday. It feels so darn good to have the wheels
in motion and not spinning in circles now!
