Hi David,

Thank you for the welcome and that is a very interesting story. I also think
what you are planning to write is a very good idea, especially for your
family.

Blessings,

Ashley

Hello Members,

Ashley, welcome aboard! Bridgit, thanks for the quick lesson, clear in
explanation, concerning the uniqueness between memoir and autobio.
Mine fits the latter category. That is done on purpose as it will
include some family history highlights at different period points. I
do this for our grandchildren should they be interested when older. My
father and a cousin both had interest in family roots. My cousin,
interestingly is from my mother's side, and she and her sisters (Mom
that is) lost both parents at different points when youngsters and
raised in foster care. Somehow they found each other in young
adulthood in the '40s.

One never knows who will get the family heritage bug within a family.

I am an older adult, and felt while I have my health and faculties,
writing a short book was in order and of personal interest. No, sales
may not exceed 500, but it will be there and promoted for family and
interested others. If I break even, great..

One has to admit, giving yourself in this fashion is one heck of a
holiday present. Take care, chat again soon.
