A publishing service just helps prepare your manuscript for publication. An
actual publisher prints and releases a manuscript.

Subject: [Stylist] Anyone Know?

Hi Writers,

I learned something new as a writer yesterday from one of the FB writing
groups to which I belong. There are publishers, and there are publishing
services. Lulu, for example, is said to be a publishing service.
What would the difference be?
Is an author who uses a "publishing service" under self published status, as
if they had used Amazon or Smashwords?
Just curious. Thanks!
