Subject: [Stylist] Remember Lucy and Lithe?

Hey, writers, what’s up?
A year or so ago, some of you read a story I was writing called “Lucy and Lithe”.
It was about a little girl on a war-torn Earth, who had a blind schoolteacher, who wasn’t what she seemed.
Anyway, this young girl went to a planet whose culture was based on romantic love, called Andorpha.
A lot of you asked me questions about the teacher.
So I went back and really worked hard on this book. Now it’s a 52 thousand word novel, and it’s being published.
I wanted to thank all of you for your input.
Your feedback made this possible.

I’m using a Canadian publishing company called Tellwell. They’re quite expensive, though. But they offer a lot of services, and they do take credit cards.
At this stage, I’ve received an editorial evaluation. I’d say a glowing evaluation, containing my strengths and areas for improvement, plus all the little stray punctuation marks I didn’t pick up on.
So I revised the book. At that point, it was 35 thousand words. By the time I rid my document of the typos and answered the editor’s questions about the characters, plot, etc., I had 52 thousand words. (They charged me for the extra words) I never thought I could write a 50 thousand word novel.
At least, I never did during NanoWrimo month.
I expect another evaluation within two weeks, and then it’s time for layout and design.
I just wanted to thank everyone for their support and feedback as I was writing the seed copy. That is, the very first draft.
By the way, while they’re working on the first book, I’m starting the second. Looks like Lucy’s going to be a series, maybe four or five books.
Thanks.
Thea
